Hey guys, took over my shop today. Need to buy and alignment machine before two weeks, have fleet contracts. I have a stand by on a Accu Drive, or Accu Line, forgot the model, its a popular one that is leased to own. Its all new, bells whistles. Here is my question, I have other things I wish to buy too, so watching liquidity. Mostly we would be doing 97-2004 models, really daily drivers, then the old classics which have to be manually entered anyways.

I found a nice Hunter H111, for 2000.00 complete, minus rack. I have a rack already. Its been updated, more memory, calibrated, about 670.00 worth of work on it a month ago. Guy got a great deal on a new Hunter with rack for 9000.00. So how is the H111? I cant find any info on it to read up on it.

Is it user friendly, accurate? I know Hunter is the name in alignment. Or the old John Beam's. I know its an optical set up, its corded, no biggie to me. How To Install Android On Nokia 5530 Xpressmusic. My techs are smart, and very very good at what they do.

I figure if I can buy it and it does a great job, make the money off it and buy a nice new Hunter at the end of the year, and that way spend off some income as well. Any input from people who have used it would be awesome. Accu Turn is the name your thinking of. I think it's a popular brand because of 1 reason, it's the cheapest out there. I lovingly call that brand Accu Crap. Over the years I have used 3 Accu Turn, 3 Ammco and 1 Bear brake lathe.

The first shop to get an Accu Turn brake lathe the whole shop had trouble getting a proper finish. GM specs call for something like a 180 micron finish on rotors. We had to hand finish the rotors to get the cars to stop properly. And I still have to take extra precautions to this day to make sure I get a good finish.

The shop I work in now has the exact same model Accu Crap brake lathe. I've used Coats, Hunter and Accu Turn tire changers. I've used Hunter, Accu Turn and a couple of other tire balancers. I've used Hunter, Jim Beam and Accu Turn alignment machines. 2 different models of each. My all time favorite is the Jim Bean Visualiner, that thing is slick. Hunter has the best support from what I've seen.

Never needed support from Jim Bean, so can't say how they are. Accu Turn always seems to want to just send parts. Our tire changer is down now waiting for one of us to change a switch with about 12 wires attached to it. I have seen 1 Accu turn tech that came to work on an alignment machine. This thing was less than a year old. It had these fancy wireless heads that used rechargeable flashlight batteries.

They always gave us trouble. Communication trouble and batteries going dead in the middle of the job. Had 1 of their techs come to work on it and he seemed kind of lost. Some Accu Turn stuff is ok I guess.

Some of their stuff has cost me money working on commission. I don't work on commission now so it's not my dime anymore. I still don't like that brand. Hunter is the best IMO.

But all I've ever used is them and a bear piece of crap. 20 years fixing cars 10-15 of them with under car and alignments being my main job.

I've done thousands of alignments, all but a few of them on Hunter equipment. I've used the Hunter a-111 all the way through to the P411, all awesome machines.

Don't play basketball with the heads, have the calibrations done and you're good as gold. I've used an Accu-turn brake lathe at one shop. It was a total piece of crap. If their aligners are anywhere near the quality I'd sooner eat rocks than own one. Well, every piece of Hunter equipment I can afford I will buy. Change Routeros Software Identification there. I called our local service rep, service mind you, not sales, to see if I could get advice on how to shop for a used Hunter.which ones are no longer serviced, updated, parts for, user friendly etc. I told him I found a d111, and a H111 locally and what the sellers told me about it.
